GeckoForum 2020: Roundup

*Slight humble brag here 🙊*...but we had 250+ registrants across 4 continents, 10 sessions, and 14 presenters join us for GeckoForum 2020, and here at Gecko HQ we are pretty proud!

Our annual GeckoForum event is a chance for our clients to learn, spend time connecting with each other, and of course, have fun. This year we had to take it virtual, and it was our best year yet! 💥

This year’s GeckoForum was centered around the theme of the new “normal” in higher ed. Matt Lanham, our CEO & Founder delivered a truly fantastic keynote speech about Gecko’s vision and future trends in the Higher Ed industry.

Being a developer at heart, Matt generated a lot of conversation and made us ask the questions: ‘What does 2021 have in store for higher ed and what’s next in development at Gecko to support the ever-changing environment?’

Guest speakers included Joshua Favaro, Courtney Chastine, Craig Cockburn, Robert Fowles, and Corinto Cevallos, who delivered engaging case study sessions about connecting international student recruitment and visitor experiences with Gecko.

Our two other guest speakers Kayce O’Brien and Dominic Davis demonstrated how their chatbots have a real impact within the Arapahoe Community College and City, University of London student communities.

Here’s what our attendees had to say…

I thought this was the best conference/forum I've seen. The registration process was perfect, so easy. The sessions were meaningful with excellent presenters. Joshua Favaro, Manager, International Communications Software Projects, Humber University

I really enjoyed the Build a Bot session. Being able to come away with a working bot was great, as it allowed me to show colleagues what I have been going on about for weeks!
